About Wooda Lakes
Wooda Lakes is set in 22 acres of grassland, woods and lakes in North Devon, approximately 5 miles north of the market town of Holsworthy and 7 miles east of the Cornish coastal town of Bude.
All holiday lodges are situated on a south facing slope, with large private decks that enjoy the benefit of the mid-day and evening sun.
With just 13 well-spaced lodges on site, peace and quiet is the order of the day. Whether you while away the day relaxing on the deck with a good book, watch the abundance of local wildlife or venture down to the lakes for a spot of fishing, Wooda Lakes is the perfect place for you to unwind and recharge.
With far-reaching views towards Dartmoor, and being surrounded by the sandy Cornish beaches to the west, the wild rugged north Devon coast, and Exmoor to the east, Wooda Lakes sits within Devon’s “Ruby Country”. Here you can enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle, and experience some of darkest nights in country.
From Wooda Lakes, you can easily explore the local towns of Holsworthy and Bude or venture further afield as you explore Devon and Cornwall. Whether you take in the market towns with their hospitality and locally-produced goods; cycle, walk or horse-ride local trails; or immerse yourself in watersports and adventure activities, Wooda Lakes is the perfect base for your stay in the Southwest.
During 2017 we will be continuing to upgrade the lodges (having installed WiFi and 3 hot tubs in late 2016), restock the lakes and create a new reception building.
For those wanting to order grocery deliveries, the major supermarkets do deliver to the site.
Wooda Lakes’ owners, Stuart & Michelle Sharp, live on site and look forward to welcoming you on your holiday. Please call us if you have any questions.
